Default Opinions on my suspension setup for turbo car? (Updated with pics 2/13)

I POSTED THIS IN SUSPENSION, BUT ITS DEAD AS A DOORNAIL IN THERE.. 70 VIEWS, AND NO HELP. But I need answers asap.

Just ordered Viking dbl adjustable coil overs for my 2000 SS.
Car is a 4**" built motor, iron block, with a billet 84 BW turbo. All BMR suspension, turbo k member, a-arm kit, extreme (short) torque arm, etc.. Th400 trans, and hoping for weight around 3150-3200 but I have a feeling it's going to be 3300-3400. Gotta have hopes though I guess.

My coilovers are the dbl adjust obviously, with 300lb front, and 150lb rear spring rate.. (Radial Turbo car).

Anybody else in the turbo world got any input on the springrate selection?

The drag racing tech section might be your best bet for suspension help. I know willizm is running in the 9's with his car on vikings. Pretty sure it weighs quite a bit more than what your shooting for too.

I ran mid 9's with stock decarbon rear shocks, and strange SA fronts. Best 60' is a 1.36. You seem to have a decent setup, I am sure it will work ok. I am looking at the DA Vikings to get for my rear pretty soon.

Yea man.. Damn turbo parts have been expensive. But everything I've gotten so far has been good stuff.

Keep yall's eyes open for me an ATI balancer, Nasty Performance fuel tank hookup?, and a water pump.

What's yall's opinion on a 1000whp mid to low 5 second car water pump? What should I get? Its KILLING me to think about spending 700-800 bucks on a damn Meziere pump.

Yeah, those Mizierres are crazy expensive. I would only pick one up if it was second hand. But I would look at a radiator mounted version, and then get the adapters. That's a pretty cool setup.

Or the Evans water pump it out flows the electric ones by far and fixes the flow issues to the rear cyl. Nasty tanks in stock and on special right now.

That's right. When speaking with the guys at MWC they suggested I start with a base setting and go from there given im an auto radial car. Below are some of my notes. Starting at 12c and 5r front and rear was a good starting point

Track baseline (front and rear)
Compression 12c
Rebound 5r

If the front is not lifting enough bring the fronts down. If rears are not spinning bring the numbers up

Run 1 baseline values:

Run 2 baseline values: rear +2

Run 1 baseline values: same rear as run 2 front -2

Next track outing start from this
Fronts. 10c 3r
Rears. 14c 7r

Ok, Nate, I gotta get a tank pretty soon, but ordering converter, flexplate, turbo, and a few other miscelaneous parts, the car fund for the month is almost empty.

How much for a 98-02 tank with factory sending unit?

Thanks a ton for your help. I'm screenshotting this and printing it to put in my car folder along with receipts and all kinds of other stuff.. No way I'd remember all that. This is my first go round with an actual real fast car.. Came from a 6 speed cam/nitrous car that ran good.. But this is a whole different level of car this go around.

Thanks again man. I will be posting back up with a dozen more questions as the build progresses. Hope to run in a bout 3 months.

I've had good luck with vikings as well. Went consistent 1.2x's last time I was at the track at a weight of 3650. https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspensio...1-22-60-a.html

Call Midwest Chassis. I was having a tough time getting my car down the track and Eric tuned the suspension. It has been working great since, Everything has to work together.
