Default Turd Boeing my 2000 silverado

Hello everyone, I have not been on tech since I was probably 19....probably 4 years. I am wanting to make my daily/work truck more fun and powerful. Here's the thing I tow with it day in day out, it always has a trailer hooked to it. probably drive it 50k miles a year. It's a 2000 Silverado 6.0 2 wheel drive. I need whatever I do to it to be reliable....I have ls7 lifters with ls6 cam and springs already, since the lifters **** out ar 287k miles. The rod bearings and cam bearings look like they are brand new still.

My plans were to go through the trans and freshen it up with new clutches and some goodies and order a yank triple disc converter. And order an on3 kit minus the turbo and just invest in a nicer turbo. And of course injectors with a good quality pump. And an AFX ngk wideband. what do you guys think

I'd just stick with the On3 turbo. In the last couple of years, there have been lots of people putting out some pretty impressive numbers and track times with them.

I would consider upgrading to the 7876 from them if you're going to be towing with the 6.0. Their 70 and 76mm have a pretty small turbine which makes them good for a 4.8/5.3 in a lighter vehicle. You'll need more turbine.

If you do upgrade, an S475 is always a good idea.

Spike Performance in texas does a ton of truck kits. They would be a great place to call to get you pointed in the right direction.

If you don't already have a 4l80e in the truck. You need to get one. A well built 60e will not last very long, especially if you are towing a trailer.

With the kind of load that a trailer will add, you should definitely consider forged pistons and rods. That's just my opinion.
