Default Lsx block 6 bolt heads and boost

Just checking in with everyone to see how much boost they have put through a lsx 6 bolt combo without pushing water/blowing head gaskets. I know the tune is important and I know people have seen 20 plus psi with 4 bolt set ups. Just trying to see how much more reliable a 6 bolt combo is in everyone's experience and what head gasket you ran.

the lsx six bolt heads aren't much better than the oem ls7 castings. they are still a lightweight casting. we have seen 24 psi on the set on the COPO Super Stock engine. they seem to be holding ok using a cometic gasket. I personally don't think that setup would handle a whole lot more.

That's crazy! At what point would you put any o rings on the block?

We had good luck with cometics at 35psi running 7.0@192-195, Going 200+ required the switch to copper though. Going 220+ better heads are required.
