Default another 69 camaro jy 5.3 turbo build

Well I've been lurking for a while now getting ideas for my own 5.3 turbo build. I sold my drag car and bought a mostly stock 69 camaro. Car is a nice driver with a good five footer paint job on it. Nonoriginal sbc and m21 4 speed. Which I promptly pulled a week after I bought the car and sold for 1500.
Here's my list of parts so far.

100k mile 5.3
Sa timing chain
New stock rings
New rod bearings
Ls9 head gaskets
Forced inductions s400 turbo
Brute force blower cam
Chinese head studs
Comp valve springs
Jegs push rods
Treadstone ic
Persicion bv
Tail wg
Fic 95lbs Bosch injectors
Duramax map sensor
Magnafuel 4303 pump
Magnafuel fpr
2.5" mild steel tubing and some flanges
Plan on running e85

And picked up a tci powerglide and 10" converter from a buddy of mine at a real good price.

I'm shooting for around 700 to 800 rwhp. I've talked to my tuner and they've built a few c10 trucks that made around that on e85 with similar parts.

Nice. That's about what I'm shooting for 800 on high boost. I'm doing s476r billet wheel. Real similar builds we have except I'm going 93 and meth.

Made some progress this morning on my manifolds and hot side piping. Just trying to find the best spot for the turbo, don't want to cook the paint off the hood or fefender.

Pass side manifold.

.... And drivers side with a little bit of the piping installed.

Kinda of a tight got but I'm trying to run the piping in a way so that i can have just one really well positioned waste gate.

So did you just cut off the upper half of the drivers side manifold? Just exhaust pipe welded on or something else? Looks good so far man, have you considered keeping the hotside divided and running two gates? Supposed to spool faster but I've never seen back to back results on a v8.

Yup there just truck manifolds flipped up side down and hacked apart. I used some 2.5" ms tubing to piece them back together. I'm going to try to keep it divided as far as I can and just put the waste gate at the merge near the turbo if there's room, I don't really want to buy another wg if I don't have too, those things aren't cheap!

Going to a smaller diameter crossover will save some room and not sacrifice any power. Just an idea.

Love the build!! My favorite year

I've already got like 3/4 of the hot side piping done some I'm pretty much committed to 2.5" although looking back I kinda wish I would have gone a little bit smaller pipe though. I do appreciate the suggestion! Thanks!

Got the hot side pipes made and tacked up today. Plan on pulling it out tomorrow, welding it up an making a support bracket for the turbo.

Thanks!! Before I decided to go ls turbo i was looking into BBC wanting to make around 1000hp, that was going to cost at least 10k, after a little research I fond out that u could make that same power with a 5.3 and a big single turbo at almost half as much and be very street able. That decision was a no brainer for me! The manifolds are off an 04 Silverado 5.3 non egr.

Looks good! I wish I would have got the polished turbo. What are you running for a driver's side manifold? Does it clear your brake booster? The upside down truck manifold almost touches my booster so I'm going to have to put a smaller one on our maybe convert to hydrobooster.

I have both manifolds facing down. Only close part was was by power steering box. I notched it a little but may need to go more. Also I have all corvette accesories.

Gotcha. You must be running ls1 accessories?
I don't think I could have cleared the power steering pump if I wouldn't have flipped the manifolds.
