Default F1R 408... KILLER torque

We built this car for a customer looking to go FAST with a 6 speed C6. He has already been 9.7@147 with a little over 700rwhp on his stock ls2.

We build him a 408 iron block with Advanced induction ported LS3 heads, Custom cam by us, Stock LS3 intake. A&A direct drive setup with an F1R procharger along with a Procharger race C6 intercooler. Im very happy with the numbers. My main goal was to have his make killer torque and I feel we did that. Setup right now is on 20psi. We will leave it there for now and get some numbers on the track then prob hit it with a little nitrous.

Probably not just yet... i think it will take a little bit of nitrous to hit that with a 6 speed...

I think he is going to have to go with an automatic to get into the 8s. I have a 408 iron block and also run a F1-R ProCharger with a built powerglide.Just upgraded the converter and should be in the mid 8s this year.

We went a 1.38 60 with a 6 speed before... If we do that again we will be in good shape. its not gonna be easy but our goal is to have a 8 second 6 speed car.

6 speed car for the win. Would much rather be a man and do it with the man pedal.

Good to hear 8's with the 6 speed is the goal, love seeing a few left still rowing gears
Best of luck getting there.

Awesome 60' and great driving!

I have a question regarding the 1/8 mph, why does it seem low? With a 155 trap I would've expected something in the high teens. The launch was great and it makes lots of torque, is it the gearing or spinning the tires?
I'm not a professional drag racer, but something seems off compared to other cars that trap the same.

It does seem a little low, but presumably the 3-4 shift is happening right at the 1/8th which may hurt that speed measurement slightly.
