Default Phase 2: Hairdrying

Ok Im done with nitrous refills, time for boost!
Plans are to pull the engine to get out those precious very first set of Stainless works headers ever made and make room for custom turbo manifolds. With the engine out Ill send the convertor to be restalled for the new setup. Pull the pistons and open up the ring gap. Add LS9 head gaskets and ARP head studs.

Parts I have or have ordered.
Precision 7675CEA
Precision pw46 wastegate.
Turbosmart race bov
Devils own stage 2 meth kit
Treadstone 1235 intercooler
Ls9 Gaskets
Arp head studs

My buddy works at Big 3 Racing and will be fabricating the hotside.

Ordered speedhut gauges today. Trans temp, boost and fuel pressure. If your looking for gauges id recommend them. Very innovative styling and wiring up. Completely custom.

Tear down has begun and once the water lines in my detached garage thaws the truck will get a much needed washing.

Pressurized the cooling system and it bleeds down from 15psi to 0 over a few minutes and you can hear the water sizzling/leaking but I cant find where. Pretty sure its not the hoses but it is on that side somewhere.

This should get interesting.
Is that a ZR1 rim on the front of the truck?

Im really hoping that I will, I hope it doesnt choke down the 6.0. As for downpipe Im going to do whatever it takes to fit 3.5" from turbo to out the back. Only tight spot will be at the firewall.

Theyre meant for c6 vettes so whatever backspacing might be on that plus a 3" spacer, gets it to sit centered in the wheel well.

Haha thanks. Gave up alcohol for lent so that kept the spills down hahah. Took about a day and a half to get it all out plus nitrous out. Could have done it in one long day if I wanted Im sure.

UPDATE.

Got the engine down to shortblock.

TSP pushrods are holding up fine.

Just doing an oil change I swear HAHHA

My new 80lb Siemen Deka Injectors came in.

Installed my 80 lb injectors tonight. Not sure if I did the short to long conversion correctly.

Made some spacers at work on the lathe

All I can guess is that because of the opposite angles of the injectors per bank its causing the rail and injectors not to fit perfect anymore.
Besides having to slot the 4 bolt mounts which is expected, the injectors are also not centered. One side is centered but I did that side first. The other side I had to push the injectors over to get each in the hole and once bolted down you can see they are centered but I hope its ok.

Not centered

Centered

Followed a fellow s10 builders thread and decided to buy the Glowshift pillar pod to mold into the stock pillar trim.

With the other end even this is how the dash end looks. Super close fit hahaha.

Cut off both ends and put it onto the factory trim piece while it was installed and marked exactly where I wanted it.

Sanded and cleaned all mating surfaces

And JB plastic welded it together.

Tomorrow Ill use the Bondo bumper fix epoxy to mold/feather in all the edges to make it seamless.

Speedhut gauges came in! They have some amazing quality cant wait to use them,

Comes with all the sensors and a harness for power to all 3 so thats plug and play so you dont have to run separate power to each one.

Transcooler is half mounted. Itll raise slightly once I make up some bottom mounts.
