Derale 16925's on an A/C car?
Anyone ran Derale 16925's on an A/C car? I have my temps under control right now but would like to do away with the 2 puller fans and put 2 pushers on the AC condenser. This would make more room to change procharger belts and increase possibility of putting a truck inlet hat on the procharger without any headache . I know it will be a tight fit but I will make it work as long as it will keep it cool on 100° days idling in traffic. So, has anyone done this? Were you successful in keeping temps under control on hot days sitting in traffic with A/C on?

Id love for them to work but I dont see it happening either. I experimented with a bunch of large pushers like the ones you mention. Nothing could keep up in traffic. I run 2 shrouded pullers and those work but not as well as a stock car.

I'm running two of these right now. Haven't had the A/C on yet and only been able to drive the car in upper 80's temps but the Derales pull it down below target temp fairly easily. That's blowing through the condensor to the radiator with the turbo setup. Will see this summer what happens with the A/C on.

Makes two of us. I'm pretty hopeful with them because under hood temps with the wrapped exhaust is pretty low. I figured as a worse case I would have some space to mount some small pullers on the outside edge of the radiator on it's side that I'm hoping wouldn't interfere with the pusher's too much but we shall see.
Since throwing on the Derale's I haven't had a single issue and if anything rivals the stock flow for maintaining temperature, and that is even through a condenser.

well, since making this thread I have put the derales on my car. So far they somewhat keep up. on an 80 degree day I idled for 20 min with the A/C on high and temps got up to 226 at the end of the two minutes and seemed to be stable. I believe I have an air flow problem on the highway, after I did the 20 min idle I traveled an 8 mile stretch and was only down to 217. It seems that below 30 MPH these fans work the best not getting over 195 degrees. between 30 and 65 MPH temps kind of rise though. I think that may be a programing issue though. I think the fans turn off at 60 MPH so I believe I should set it down to maybe 40 MPH.
