Hey guys, been a while since Ive posted in this section. I still tune in from time to time, but since I currently do not have a FI car, I just lurk. Anyway, I just saw this video on facebook and saw just how much a spring loaded tensioner actually moves during a quarter mile pass. It is astounding! For those of you out there running a supercharger with just a fixed tensioner, consider this next time you start noticing belt slip. Had I seen this video when I had my procharged 02 Trans Am I would have bit the bullet and bought a spring loaded tensioning system. If you dont have one now, I dont see how you could not be getting belt slip. Take a minute and watch the vid. Its crazy!

There are quite a few similar videos online, and yes a proper good strong spring tensioner is pretty much essential.
