Default Shaved Gloss Black Pro Flo

Just came back. Looks so much better shaved. Maybe better than the Holley still undecided on that.

Thoughts?

I prefer a satin or matt black, but they are a great looking intake, and great value.

Removing branding can add a little mystery too.

Everything else in bay is wrinkle black. Wanted to add a little pop. Car is satin. Parts wrinkle. This is only glossy part.

Thought you would have commented on the rails... HA HA.

I love it! Did you hit it with a sander and then have it powder coated or what?

Lmao. Didn't even catch that. Yes, sander then media blaster, then coated.

I really like the gloss black. It looks like you took some time to smooth out the roughness. It seems like a lot of people paint or powdercoat right over the rough casting. Yours looks so much better.

Is that the pro flo fuel rails? And if so how do you like the fittings? I've heard that they only screw in a couple of threads

Yes, Pro Flo rails. I hate them to be honest. The fittings are weird pipe thread fittings that thread in like 3 turns - any further and it feels like the rail will crack. And they are ugly. Since the Edelbrock is engraved in the rails you can't make them look much better.

My solution was half functional with the DEI gold heat tape and mostly cosmetic. :-) I like the gold against the gloss black. Looks interesting.

I too prefer the wrinkle or satin/semi black but as long as you're happy is all that matters......the gold refelctive tape on the rails doesn't actually look bad at all imo!

What was the intake originally?

Hope you don't mind me asking but why the change were you noticing issues with the prior set-up?

I'm in the process of deciding my intake set-up and would like to know your experience with the prior as i had considered it but the Hi-ram is the other choice but i have limited hood clearance.

Do you happen to know the height of the prior set-up w/ the elbow on it thanks?

Pat

Its taller than the elbow set up for sure. I honestly ditched the elbow set up because I didn't like how it looked. The switch was more form over function to me sadly. Additionally, I have plenty of clearance 6 inch carbon cowl hood.

The one function part to me is it's one piece. No gaskets between mani and elbow or between two plates of Holley
