Default Water tank and no radiator on the street?

I have heard of a few guys street driving with a water tank only and no radiator. This seems like it would heat up and not cool down well enough.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Working on testing this this weekend.

I have a 5.5 gallon tank but only had about 3.5 gal at the time. No cooler for the water. I drove 35 min and water went from 70 ish deg to 101 deg. Only did 3 small 10-12 psi boost hits, nothing major.

But my water lines do pass over the echaust, run near trans and oil pan so its possible its picking up some heat there even tho i insulated those areas from the heat sources.

I will try this weekend with a full tank while i do tuning logs. See what happens.

We're talking about intercooler tank/radiator, right?
By quoted temps it make sense, it just didn't say in the original post lol.

Yes, as the original post says "A water tank, no radiator".

My apologies. I was in kind of a jovial mood this morning and shouldn't have pointed out the obvious. Sorry to have bothered you.

Seen a few setups this way. Overall temps fluid temps won't be as cool, but works just fine for moderate boost street driving. Just don't circulate the water while your cruising. Either flip the pump on manually or use a boost switch.

Decided to do a rear mount radiator instead.

I hear both ways. My plan was boost switch. Another friend says run it all time. Other says flip switch every once awhile to circulate water abit.

I will experiment
