96.0 bore is the stock for the flat top anthing bigger is dish but still stronger than stock

Sure you could. But y. With that much boost it's only a matter of time till a bolt lets go. Or you spin a rod bearing because the bearing end of the rod goes egg shaped. If you use ARP rod bolts those are $100 plus machining costs. Finished maybe at $250 out of the machine shop. You can buy Scat rods for a bit more that will take more power anyways. It's just peace of mind.
But yea you could reuse the rods if you want. You can buy forged pistons to fit your stock rods.

I'm almost tempted to just run the stock 4.8 for awhile and build up the 5.3 over the winter.
Would I need anything for that? Or just put it in?
Would you guys change the cam, pushrods, ect.
Or just use the cam out of the 5.3 in the 4.8?
