quiet turbo cam 402 ls2
Hey everyone looking finish up a build on an engine, my goals are to make 900 whp through ath400 and irs on a 240sx. ..
So this is going to be my setup, 402 ls2 je pistons callies compstar rods, dragon slayer crank.gtp stage 2 ported 317 heads pac springs Harland sharp 1.8 rockers ls7 lifters. .
billet s484 v2 billet t6 1.32
ls6 intake and tb 3.5-4 inch exhaust
My goals are to make no more than 900 whp through th400 on 91 and meth most of the time will be just on 91. I want a smooth idle cam like stock and pull to 7k... i am putting this into a Nissan 240sx and being in california having a lopey idle in a japanese car will get you a nice ticket!
So smooth idle
Make the power
stealthy cam

That's pretty close to my setup. I have a LS2 402, with a S484 T6 1.32 turbo. I'm running mine back to a Magnaflow Catback, but dumps to ground under boost. I changed from 11:1 compression and a 242/248 .611/.614 114+2 LSA cam and longtube N/A setup to a 243/243 .623/.623 115+2LSA turbo cam. I had Comp Cams spec it off my goals/parts. It's still got a decent bit of rumble, but it's WAY more tame than the 242/248. I'm only shooting for 850 at ~15psi but the cam was specced to be capable of a bit more. If you're looking for stealthy, I'm sure you could go quite a bit smaller and have a nice mild sounding car, especially if you can go higher than 1 bar.

Thank you v-10 killer for your knowledge and specs i am limited to my block of course with block flex... the motor has seen 16 pounds before with the previous owner and lets just say it didn't like it for long but the engine was tired with 30k worth of beatings! Its getting freshened up as we speak!!! I was specd out a cam by a reputable cam builder so far but i am scared it might choke up! Unknown lift so far by the builder but for my goal at max 900 and most of the time at 8-10 psi was 228/228@50 116lsa. .. and it doesn't help that most people running this type of setup run an exhaust right out the front bumper or just straight down pipe so its extremely choppy and loud lol... hope to get some input from these cam designers to see if my expectations are achievable
