Default Ly6 help

Anyone ever swap a short block Ly6 into a 2001 ws6
I picked one up for free. Jus a short block. It spun barring so I was thingin I could do a 408 build. Not sure what all will swap over from my build now tho. Which is 317 heads mild work 102 fast intake and a 78mm turbo. I have also heard about vvt on these motors is that something I should keep or what. Anyway any advice is much appreciated.

Your heads intake and turbo will work.
Delete the VVT, its not hard.

The LY6 has a 58x crank wheel. Your WS6 ECU won't run it without a converter box.

Almost everything will swap. Alternator bracket depends on whether or not the block is drilled there. My 5.3 was, but some aren't.

I have an LY6 in the garage, I'll have to go check later.

My '10 LY6 was not drilled. I would assume since they are used in trucks, that none of the blocks would be drilled for an F-body alternator bracket.

I wouldn't think so either but that's not a hard task to do , I wouldn't think anyway.

I've got another question my kit is a ac retaining , so I have the condenser rad and fans up against my turbo and I still have the crossover power steering deal too, what would you do to delete that to save some more room
