Stock Radiator, Pusher Fans Hitting Radiator Support Huron Speed Kit
Alright, so I'm trying to put all the finishing touches on my Huron Speed turbo build with my 01 Camaro SS, and I tried to mount my radiator and fans last night. I have two Derale 16925s mounted on the front side of the radiator, and the fan that is mounted more toward the top of the radiator is touching off to the radiator support before I can lean it back far enough to mount with the stock LS1 plastic airbox/radiator mount.
What is everyone doing to actually secure their radiators since the stock LS1 mount won't work with these pushers? I see people using some other kind of upper support than the stock LS1 airbox, which would be nice since I no longer need the air filter. I want to stay with the stock radiator and position for now since the Huron Speed kit is designed to work with them.
Any help will be appreciated. Pics of the fan mounting locations on the radiator would be a BIG help so I can make sure I have these in the right spot.
Edit: Just to clarify, this has nothing to do with the Huron Speed kit itself. I was just mentioning that kit because it keeps the radiator in the stock location, and that is what I'm trying to do. I'm sure I just have the fans mounted in the wrong spot causing interference.

Sounds like you just need to reposition your fans on the radiator.

I don't have any good recent pics. I do have a build thread in the Camaro section that is fairly up to date. I'm going to try to take a picture tonight of my current situation with my fans etc. It'll be a good time to upload some pics of the new Huron Speed kit that is getting dropped off today too

no pics on here. my work computer wont let me upload anything.... but like frank, there is lots of room in there to fit the fans. maybe you have one of them up to high hitting the support. i staggered mine with the passenger side being the lower one and put them on the radiator before i re-installed it into the car.

Good news Frank. I'm assuming you have the fans shifted as far down on the radiator as possible right? Mine are staggered a little because of the overall width not quite fitting the radiator, but the top one is right at the top of the radiator. That's probably my problem. I have some new plastic fan ties coming in today, so I'll try to remount them lower.

Just a little update on this. Looks like I have plenty of room to drop my fans down about 4 to 5", so they should clear the radiator support no problem after that. I think my new radiator mounting ties are coming in today, so I'll try to do that today or tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions
