Front mount intercooler and front license plate.
What are you guys doing with your front license plate when running a front mount intercooler on a Firebird? I'm in a state that requires you to have one mounted to the front of the car. Trying to figure out what to do to get air to it and keep the cops off my ***.

I dont have a firebird, but every turbo car I have had gets the front plate tossed in the pile in the garage. my state also had "front plate required" but I rarely get harassed. and only 2 tickets in like 15years. hell I even tell them the reason I dont have one is that it blocks my intercooler and/or for better cooling.
also might be noted that the "harassment" of no front plate seems to fallow me doing something stupid. so no front plate ticket is easier than court lol
so yeah, find your *****, toss the plate, go drive your car.

I left my lip around mine so I could put my plate cover back in. I suspended my plate out to the edge where the plate is fairly even with the front with a slight bend. That is the daily driver set up. I also am considering a fold up plate bracket mounted on the bottom. The night mode being no plate at all.
Texas lawmen tend to be fairly aggressive using the plate as a reason to pull people over for good probable cause. They usually won't write a ticket but I don't want 50 questions about where I'm going, where I work ect. I keep my license plate light and all bulbs replaced for the same reason.

Some kind of boost activated hinge would be bad ***. I have a couple little towns around me that might mess with me. They don't have anything better to do. I will probably chance it, then figure something out it I get pulled over a lot.

The motorized version could be set up with a hobbs switch if you wanted to get your nerd on. http://www.hidetheplate.com/product_...&products_id=2
