Default What cam with a PT7675

I'm curious what cam you guys are running that are using the PT7675 turbo? I'm leaning towards the Tick stage 1. I have a stock bottom end 5.7 with 317 heads, PT7675 .96 AR, M6 with an S60. Waiting on my Huron front mount kit to get delivered. Car is just going to be a street toy, no track time. Thanks.

I kind of want it to have a little chop to it, but I think I would rather have it build boost sooner over the chop. You can hear some chop with both the Tick stage 1 and 2 turbo cams from the vids I have watched.

How soon does it spool up? What rpm is it making boost?

Wow, only a couple people are still running this thing. I thought it was still a popular turbo.

They cost more, and won't give you the 1k hp dreams most people want these days.

Everyone wants their T6 S480 etc etc..

At what rpm does your boost come in with that cam?

I didn't want to buy a cheap turbo. From what I have read it should be good for around 1000hp.

I ran a TU1 cam with my PT7675 and found that setup to be really fun. Super responsive and just a fun car to drive on the street. Spooled quickly and idled great. Very streetable combination.

Shannon Taylor made 780 to the tire with a 7675 and my stage 2 with a 5.3 on 17 psi iirc...

Ryan Munson made 775 on 14 psi ( manual transmission) with a 7675 and a stage 2...

Those are the 2 examples right off the top of my head I have to offer with one of my cams and that turbo.

Wow, thanks for info. I was eyeballing your cams as well. Just so many choices. A choppy idle would be nice, but I think I would rather it go into boost quicker over a mean idle.

x2, same setup I'm running. Gets into boost quick, sounds good, cant complain.

I've certainly seen 900+ from 5.3's on 19-25lbs so its fairly capable of coming close to that.

Off wastegate I'm at 16-17lbs, which is plenty fun. Have the boost controller for more if its needed.

With my PT7675 on an L92 headed 6.0, I ran a 220/220 114+0 XER cam and a 224/230 114+6 XER cam and couldn't really tell any difference in power or spool up, both ran great. It made 540whp just under 8psi non-intercooled and 620whp at 10psi intercooled on a dj248 with the 224/230 cam.
