Default Intercooler Coupler hold help

Anybody have any ideas on how to get the intercooler couplers tight so they dont continue to pop off? Ive had a couple of mines pop off on the dyno twice. I have some pipes i had to cute and they dont have beads around them as they should. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You need to put a bead on all the cut pipes. You can make your own tool out of a pair of vice grips, a flat washer, and the bottom half of an exhaust clamp. I'll post up some pics tomorrow when I'm at my shop and can snap some pics. Also what type of clamps are you using ?

I have been told hairspray works well. Got a buddy running 8s on non-bead rolled coldside assembled with hairspray.

You need a bead of some sort.

You need to ensure all mating surfaces are spotlessly clean.

T-bolts are not needed unless very high boost....biggest problem with T-Bolts, they're too easy for people to overtighten and **** up alloy tube.

Hoses dont need to be clamped that tight, they just need installed correctly.

if you don't feel like using the home made bead making tool.... Rough the pipe up with some sandpaper... rough grit like 100.... and grab a can of Aqua net.

Conan can u post a pic of the result. Of the tool use on a piece of pipe.
I'm all for homemade tools. I made a huge breaker bar out of a old ford sway bar and a 3/4in socket adapter welded together. The crank bolt off any ls motor comes off in one pull. Lol
I been using a pair of old school wire strippers that form a bead on the edge of the tube. But its rough. If I don't got accesss to a aluminum spool gun at the time
