Default looking into cam swap

just wanting a bit of input on cam suggestions and maybe someone with a similar setup can chime in with their cam specs. Need to tune for the heads so I may as well put in a better suited cam for the turbo than the stock 99 f-body unit.

currently stock bottom end 5.7 LS1
as cast 317's
PAC dual springs .660 lift
Trunion upgrade
Comp pushrods
ARP studs
LS9 gaskets

not looking for huge numbers, I run the car on road course and street drive it, so just something with a decent chop and better flow.
been thinking about the comp blower cam 227/243

any input?
single Holset HX55

An HX55 isn't a very big turbo, especially if you have the 65mm version.

You will want a much much smaller camshaft for it. Neither of those is a good match.

Without stating goals and seeing the turbo I'd go with something like a triple 12 or the 215 215.

A solid 600-650 whp would be nice. As I stated before I use the car mostly for road course so I'm not looking for big straight line power.

I found this article where they used a stock bottom 5.3 and as cast 317 heads with the cam I mentioned above and made 691hp on 7lbs of boost

Thats a cool link. For road course or Auto-X you need mid-range torque to get out of turns. Keep the cam small and it'll drive better too.
