Will that build also be in the Forced Induction section? Forgive me if that's a dumb question, but this is the first build of yours I followed. I subscribed to your YouTube page and liked your Facebook page, but I figured I'd ask here.

Hey Matt,
How is driving on the street with the welded together rears? same as driving a spool obviously. Some guys say they hate it and other guys say its no prob. What is your oppinion, since you have done it on all the cars I can remember you building and are putting a ton of street miles on them. Thanks!

Did you ever put the truck back on the dyno after the 1000cc injectors just wondering how much power they'll support

yeah i guess its just a driving thing, if you are in an area and its all tight turns and you have no power steering and the rear is dragging around you might hate it, if you occasionally cruise it around you might not even notice it, it all depends, its like when you setup an automatic to shift for you, most people's tastes are different they want it to drag the gears out, others want short shifts. personal preference. etc

i did not yet, i would like to see where its at with them also, i have blasted it a few times on 14psi like 730tire and it has plenty of fuel to maintain the 11.1 average air fuel

I remember, early on, you mentioned Cal Tracs. Did they ever get put on?

And what would it take to put a cage in this deal?

It would be great to see the results of all your hard work and effort before ya move on to the the next toy.

However... I get it. When the love and natural desire is gone... it's gone... and becomes more like a JOB. ESPECIALLY if/when it breaks! Hahaha

Looking forward to whatever's next anyway.

Thank you Matt. Always good reading and video entertainment..

yeah i installed them very early on.

i probably wont cage it, as i always explain that is the tip of the iceberg for safety equipment, "just a cage" isnt nearly enough safety equipment so why even take one step when i wont do the other 24 i need after that

Ahh. I was under the impression the cage was the only thing getting you kicked off the tracks. Wasn't aware of the other 24 things. Hahaha

Obviously, I'm not a drag racer.

cage
net
fire jacket
sfi paperwork for **** i do believe
if it traps 150 its gonna need a chute
think it needs a battery cut off, driveshaft loop, c-clip elims? scatter shields/blankets?
nhra licence

of course all this **** needs certified, tags, etc... and thats off the top of my head, probably more. they really want to make sure you and your rig are safe when going 135+mph/11.49 and quicker on there tracks, and not some sloppy thrown together car lol.

9.99 is where the big money starts coming into it. 10.00 to 11.49 a rollbar, belts and a helmet cover most cars. This is why I am so jealous of you guys that have tracks that will let you run without the gear. Not in the northeast. That's for sure.

I went mid 9's with no cage, and a buddy went high 8's with no cage here. I don't recommend doing it either, hence the reason my car now has a cage. Some tracks are just more lenient than others like you mentioned. I got kicked out of a local 1/8th mile track for going 7.1X with no cage.

I still don't have anywhere near the required safety equipment to run what I run, but I am slowly getting there.

I would NEVER, NEVER EVER, go anywhere near that fast, without gear. Even with gear, if something happens, **** gets real, FAST! Once your over 125, I just think its idiotic. I have seen our local track get a little "laxed" on some of the requirements, but once a guy backs a pass up, they usually shut them down.
