Do the tires stick out much past the fender? I am trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on them or not. I have racestars as well but I did the heater hose mod in the rear to lower it. What all did you have to do to get them to fit? I already have cut out the bump stops and hammered the wells a bit. Thanks man.

Iv hammered the wheel wells the best I can and also have heater hose mod. They do stick out some tho. It'll be about opinion if your ok with it or not. I don't think I'm gonna run these much on the street, mostly the track. Here's a pic

What converter are you running? How difficult was it to drill into the bottom of the gas tank for that PS cooler? I am building a similar lq4 s484 80e build now

Do you know if the boot slip is a problem with the v2 kits from Huron Speed?

Converter is a ptc 3600. I drilled 2 holes in the bottom of the trunk, not the fuel tank for the transmission cooler. It works really well. Temps stay about 150 cruising and 190 hot lapping it. And I don't even have a fan on it. I have a home made cold side so this has nothing to do with huron speed.

I have no idea why I thought that was the gas tank haha. Maybe it was because I was up at 2am doing research Did you just pull up the carpet in the trunk and drill through? Seems pretty easy just wanna clarify because I would like to do that for my setup as well.

Ya that's what I did. Used 2 bushings to put some space between the cooler and trunk for airflow

Seems like a very nice, simple, fun setup! I wouldn't mind going to boost but don't want to spend a lot of $$$. I could sell some parts to make up the difference though....lol

Are you foot braking it off the line? If so, what rpm's do you leave off of?

That's what I was shooting for in this build, simple, fun and budget friendly. Yes it's off the foot brake and the 2 step is set at 3000 rpm. It makes about 4 psi, but I have yet to have a clean full traction launch. I signed up for a track rental this weekend so we'll see if she hooks with the new tire setup.

Car ran flawlessly and couldn't have been more happy! Track dead hooked and car went straight. This is on 10 psi, 21 degrees, full exhaust and air filter.

Drove the car 30 miles to the racetrack this past weekend. Drove it there on dr's and raced it just like drove it. Ran 2 10.40s and drove it back home with no probs. I was really happy the the outcome. Top picture are the slips from the track rental I went to 2 weeks ago. Car is running good and having no Problems. I try to drive it to work, 16 miles round trip, twice a week.

It's a 221/221 565/565 on a 112 with 3 degrees advance. He was a little worried about cylinder pressure with the added compression of the lq9, so we went a little bigger on the duration.

I felt as if my trans was not holding power correctly so I decided to take my first crack at transmissions. Got the trans out of the car, the 6 was much easier, and tore it apart. Found the forward clutches burnt. Did a little research and found very few people have issues with the forward clutches. installed all new steels and frictions and decided to check my trans go separator plate. Removed the rivets and found a couple bures wedged between plates and even left indentations in plates. So I called trans go and explained them my screw and they ended up sending me a plate at no cost! Talk about customer service! Or maybe just merry Christmas ha. So waiting on that and a 3/4 accumulater block plate to finish assembly. Also sent my converter to dusty at ptc for cleaning and restall. Hopefully new year will bring some 9s!

Had some time to change out my injectors for some FIC 1000s and hit the dyno. This is on 14 psi and 17 degrees of timing on a dyno jet. Now ready for opening track day in 3 weeks!

What are you running for your fuel system regulator? How hard was it to fit the dual pumps in the stock bucket? Looking to do something similar.

I'm running a Mallory 4305M regulator. The pumps were pretty tight. I really doubt one could fit 2 450s with the bigger bottoms in the 98 tank but I could be wrong. I used one of the steel lines coming out of the hat that goes the that air box deal in driver quarter panel for the 2nd pump and routed another -6 line to the passenger rail. Crossed them over in the front with a tee fitting that goes to the regulator. Then used the stock evap line as a return. But just remember. The evap line goes to that box deal as well and not to the tank. You have to put a hose in there going directly to the tank. Hope this helps.

Well it was a beautiful day for some racing. Car ran good with no issues at all. Ran a 10.21 off the trailer at 14 psi but didn't get a mph reading. Ran a 10.3 @ 131. Decided to pull the tube off the wastegate, ran a 10.27 at 16 psi. Didn't have to add any fuel so I think it's safe to say turbo is maxed out. Especially since I ran a 10.33 last year on 10 psi. None the less had alota fun.
