Final WOT afr is 11.5. Need to bump in more part throttle timing to make it a bit more snappy.

I believe the AR is 0.88 and it starts boost about 2800. It still needs some tweaking but at least it not a turd. My buddy bought it and there were tons of little things wrong with the truck. It had a pair of 12 inch Efans on it with zip ties going through the radiator. That was just the beginning. Pretty much got those kind of things straightened out so now it's reliable. Original owner used RTV for the drivers manifold gasket and tuner set the rev limiter to almost 7000 rpm. Motor blew us late last year so in went a new 4.8 over winter and I fixed the tune so it would be safe with pump gas. Previous tune had 9 degrees timing at wide open throttle and VE table was no where close to smooth. Timing table had cliffs in it too causing drive ability issues going into and out of boost.

Next fall we plan to do the 6.0L, trans brake and other mods including a bigger turbo.

For now owner is just enjoying it and collecting more parts.

This is a great hobby and i really enjoy helping out guys with their projects, even those who get handed a bag if poo.

I need to drive out and meet you before my car is done. Sound like a good guy to learn from.

I can't keep my foot out of my turbo 4cyl... or my 5.3 Silverado. I got 15mpg last tank. was thinking it would probably plummet to 10mpg on boost and 20mpg if I was chill about it.

Nice work Anthony!
I'm sure the owner is really pleased.
Kind of fun these turbos huh?

That sounds like it might be a nice turbo for the 5.3 I'm doing for my sons S10. Even 500 rwhp would rip in his 3000 lb truck.
