Default What Harmonic Balancer Are Turbo Guys Using for Oil Drain in Timing Cover

Like the title says I am having a problem with my clearance for my -10an turbo drain on the front of my timing cover. Right now I am using a powerbond sfi race balancer and for the fittings I have a -10an weld bung and a 45 degree bend. I cannot find a way to fit it on with enough clearance for the belt balancer and water pump. Do I need to go with an Under Drive Pulley? Or should I get an ATI damper without the AC pulley? What are you guys using and what fittings combination do you have

I don't know if you tapped it already but why not go straight to the pan? more angle for gravity to drain the oil

You can do it with the stok balancer.
I have the stock corvette balancer + -10 fitting:

Thats interesting having it on that angle like that. Can you still get that bolt out?

I have a -12 45* fitting in the timing cover and a stock truck balancer. Not sure if the truck balancers stick out further or not

Stock diameter ati damper minus AC pulley with two -10 drains in the timing cover. Super tight but it fits!

Another option. Use the oil level sensor hole if u don't want to drll/tap pan.
M20x1.5 to -10 AN fitting is what you need.
A 25% UDP works w the -10 bung on the cover. Even 2. 1 per side w a tt.
-10 on each side of the timing cover

That was my last resort is just buy the ATI damper or pull the pan. I got a tight 90 fitting. Im gonna try that n see how it works

I have a stock dia. 02 vette balancer, and the GM Hot Rod oil pan, and was able to fit a #10 in the pan just below the balancer, center of the pan in front
I drilled/tapped it for 1/2 pipe-had to be pretty careful with the meas to clear

I used an ATI Vette balancer (stock size) and didnt install the AC pulley. However I was dumb and drilled one of the 4 little flat bosses on mine, found out after thats where the oil pump bolts are. So I had to use a button head cap screw in that location for better flow. Its pretty tight but the belt doesnt rub or nothing.

I put my -10 drain in the same spot and used a button head on the oil pump as well. Later I did pulled the pan and welded a fitting on it.
