Default Upgrading Intake Manifold over the winter...suggestions?

Currently been using my stock LS1 intake and stock LS1 throttle body on a TMS 5.3/317/pt88/auto combo. Has worked goodo and no real complaints. Over the winter I am going to remove the stock rear end, engine mounts, and upgrade the valvesprings. While I am in there I want to swap intake manifolds. For the money I would rather upgrade to something more aggressive than the LS6. I don't really want to cut up the cowl and lose wipers to fit the Pro Flo XT, was going to go with the tried and true Vic Jr/Elbow.

Been reading quite a lot but haven't had any solid before/afters on a boosted set-up.

What's your budget? I run a Precision MetalCraft intake that clears the cowl and works well. Its a spendy unit but it will be the last intake you ever buy.

I don't have unlimited funds, thus why I run a forged 5.3 and a pt88. I would like to keep it in the 3-700ish range.
