Default eBay Oil Cooler Kit

Hola fellas, has anybody ran or had any experience with the eBay Engine Oil Cooler kits? I'm looking at one now for my turbocharged 02 SS to help control oil temps. Thoughts?

I used an ebay trans cooler that came with a SPAL fan and shroud. Works excellent.

Excellent! I have a little fan off a retro fit AC system that will work good. Did you guys see any benefits to running the cooler w/ fan? Better pressure, cooler temps? Do you have any picks of how you mounted it? I was thinking under the passenger side where the exhaust used to run.

Great! I'm thinking I may invest in this instead of a cutout for the exhaust. I know when I'm tooling around town getting into boost a lot it really heats up the oil and I see my pressure drop. Nothing bad but since its a street car I think its a worth while investment. It say it comes with 4ft hoses, is that long enough to reach the passenger side floor board where I was thinking of mounting it? What triggers the fan to come on? Manual switch or with the coolant fans?

Yes sir I did, I ran a small fan on it and it worked very well.
Never leaked and would increase oil pressure after a few hits so I know it was cooling the oil.
Was on the car and working when I sold it so about three years.
You may want to find one with -06AN fittings though, the trans usually runs at much higher pressures (150-200psi) so a large -08AN line isn't needed.
I'm using a trans cooler w/ fan at the back of my car currently with -06AN lines and it works really well.
Fit as big a cooler as possible for the transmission, you can't over cool the trans. ; )

Glad to hear it worked! I will be going to a -6 for it for sure. I may rig up a small fan for it that will have an inline thermostat. I have used a hayden that was similar size in the past and it did extremely well.

I did both, had it on a thermostat and a manual switch so I could run it in the lanes/pits.
Did the same with my trans cooler on my current car.
