Looking really good man. Are you still going to run the OEM flip up head lights or is the exhaust in the way.

The original plan was to always glass over and retrofit lights into the fog light area. The headlights are a pia and electrical conversion is not worth it. I saw a c3 with the delete and loved it.

These actually make great cars for modding. After 72 they got rubber bumpers all the way around (except 73 which still had a steel front bumper). Because of that, they are no really desirable by the collectors so you 1. they aren't expensive and 2. you don't have to feel bad a bout cutting it up. You still get the desirable features of a vette (fiberglass body, full frame, IRS......) without the price tag. What do these cars typically weigh?

I need xanax when I see someone cutting up anything including and before 72, unless it was just a non numbers **** box already.

I picked it up as a numbers matching 76 with 30k miles for 7k. I had 0 plans of modding it untill parts fell together and the build took off. I could have saved a ton by spending like 2k on a roller.

The car is 3250 in full stock trim and 2 passengers. I believe my friends is down to 2500. I hope to be at 2800-3k

I'm sorry, 73's still had the steel rear bumper. Just reread that and caught the error. My bad guys.

Well is was a great weekend!

We stripped it all apart again, prepped the interior and bars, and laid some paint. Cut the dash and got it all fitted up, shifter on too. Now just gotta complete the engine bay.

Were doing a remote electric pump and also doing blakes intercooler (fits without cutting the hood).

Still shooting for January - February to 4 link the car.

Great work on your car! It looks great! Some day I need to redo the roll cage in my 68 C3. It is a tight fit. It has a 5.9 Cummins in it that may get removed for a LS swap after I get my 40 Ford done. Time will tell.

Yeah, the die hard Vette guys hate it! It has 2 turbos and the car is tubbed. It has ran low 11's. I haven't ran it since I got the trans fixed. Hoping for 10's minimum but I haven't had time to take it to a track this year.
