I think it's more of a warning to steer clear of the cheap sheetmetal intakes, in general, regardless of manufacturing origins.

High quality sheetmetal intakes are expensive for a reason. The cheap ones are also cheap for a reason.

If a TBSS intake fits, I think you should probably use it.

Yup. Not really made in usa. It was ahuge scam. Company called slp( not the same slp) was buying them from china for 99 bucks a pop.
Im surprised no one else has chimed in on this matter
iirc lil john had a video of one.

Nice looking build! Mine is pretty similar just an lq9. Love the 80e and on3 turbo on mine. For fuel system I gotta walbro 450 and areo 340 with each their own -6 feed and the stock 5/16 evap line as my return. Haven't had any problems. I also have 80lb injectors. Made 617 rw I believe and ran 10.35@131. Here's my build thread with some pics

I will definitely steer clear of those intakes thanks for the heads up. I guess I will try to find a deal on a ls1-2-6 intake.

What about the TBSS intake? If it physically fits your application, then it's a far better alternative to the ls1/2/6 intake.

Man, you fbody guys are freaking boned when it comes to hood clearance. That sucks. No wonder the ls6 intake is so popular.

Ya there's not many options out there. I'll just get a stock ls1 or ls6 intake since they seen to work well on fi builds

The car will get completely torn down for body work and paint once it's running.

Do you know the part number and cost of that Griffin Radiator? Also, is it the 6M or A4 tranny unit? I'm in the market but not keen on dropping $500 or more on a Be Cool.

The build looks great, I can't wait to see the results!

Christmas came early for you! Thanks for the reply about the radiator. Do you have an idea on how you want to mount the FMIC? Front bumper support style?
