Default Intercooler piping question

I am ending up with a larger gap than I wanted ~2inches.

I could order a new pipe, weld on an extension or use a 3-4 inch silicon coupler.

Since the turbos are hard mounted to the engine/headers, perhaps some compliance from the couplers would be good for engine roll.

Your thoughts?

thats a larger than most would use gap , can you weld some more on to get about a 1/2" gap and then use a coupler?? Thats what i would do . But i bet you could get away with a 6" silicone coupler and two t bolt clamps too .

Up to you. Unless you are running 30+psi, it wont expand enough to be an issue.

I'd get a 3 foot stick of 2.5 coupler, cut it down,-slam it on there and call it a day.

Absolutely no problem at all using a longer piece of silicone regardless of boost.

I would just use a rubber coupler and T clamps-Procharger used to have some that was thicker than the sil. ones if you were worried about the distance-but I wouldn't be worried about it

Thanks guys. My thoughts as well, but I'm just a little OCD.

Does have me thinking, I don't see many leaving room for engine roll. Any recommendations on how to manage, or anyone have issues because they didn't allow for enough compliance in the system?

That really depends how much movement your engine has to start with. But it always makes sense to use couplers in a fashion where it allows for engine movement

What body style is that, Camaro? looks like you rolled the TB so the linkage is on the other side, I saw a guy do that so he could use his mech. linkage
I ended up using a van cable, snaked it along my fuel rails

Just buy a longer piece of coupler.
