Default went to the track and did'nt get shut down.

well I finally finished up my 6 pt roll bar bought a jacket and got to make some full passes without getting shut down. I didn't turn it up as I wanted to get a few complete runs on the car and see how it worked. I did add a meth kit and that brought my afr down to 10.6 from 11.4 so I guess its working good. made 5 runs all 10.50s and 1 10.62 with some tire spin.with the best being a

10.50 at 130.3
6.79 at 104.2 1/8

I think I can get a 10.40 with this tune in good air but I hate to crank it up until I upgrade my 43 year old 10 bolt . still 11* timing and 10# boost. shifting at 5500 rpm. could not be happier with the cars street manors or performance.

Leave at the same boost and crank it up after, that 10 bolt will be fine! Love the launch, looks like the chassis is working very well.

Nice runs, good looking car. I have never been to Lapeer dragway (I am closer to Milan). I had always heard it was pretty poor for traction, but you seemed to do just fine!

Mind giving out a few details of the setup? Transbrake? Converter? Rear gear? What turbo?

Nice work! Chassis and launch control look to be working great! You've got a 9 second ride there for sure. A 9 second car that you can drive anywhere, that's what I'm talkin' about!

I'll bet it goes 9.80s on 15psi with no sweat! Maybe even leaving the timing where it's at. How were the IATs with the intercooler?

thanks .

yes lapeer. I don't mind it works pretty good if you use bias ply tires. I just like not dealing with to many cars. in 2 hours of test n tune I could have made as many runs as I wanted. never wait more than 2 or 3 cars to run.

setup is all steel car even hood and inner fenders. full interior.

2005 6.0 lq4 with ring gaps opened to .022
comp efi truck cam 206/212 at .050.double springs truck intake , 80# injectors , running microsquirt .
truck manifolds cut and forward down 2 1/2 hot side s480/83 t4 1.25 turbo,4" downpipe to a dual 3" exaust and jegs flowmasters full tailpipes.

1.76 powerglide with break 3200 ptc 10" converter
stock 10 bolt 8.5 axle 3.23 gears , 28/11.5/15 quick times.

stock sumped tank and a single bosch 044 pump.

leaving of the brake and 2 step at 3000 rpm getting like 0 to 1 # boost I just don't want to kill the axle.shifting at 5500.

pumpgas tune 11* timing and 10# boost.

next time i'll try a harder launch and about 13-14 # boost and that's about it until I swap the axle this winter. im going to a built 10 bolt with 33 spline axles brute strength posi , welded housing with 9" axle ends narrowed 1" per side should holdup. thanks again.

im going to go back in a week or two and add some boost and see what happens. but im still going to have to be easy on my axle.

Nice job. Why not do a 8.8 out of a explorer, get bigger ring gear and 31 splines to start. These are cheap as dirt around here.

Nope, haven't been back. Actually pulled the sbc out and sold it all off. I'm in the process of doing an l33 5.3 with the same 7875 i had on the sbc.
The cutlass that was with me was a 383 sbc with a 142 roots blower and a small shot of nitrous.

I may be out there this weekend with another friend who has an sbc with an 88mm, should be pretty quick.

Quick Reply: went to the track and did'nt get shut down.
