Holy crap that was a close race!

Cool car. I have to say I am surprised to see people converting actual Cobras to LS. Every Terminator owner I have ever met were die hard DOHC Ford guys through and through.

It was a theft recovery from what ive heard
I bought the car swapped already
Internet ford guys talk a bunch of **** about it, everyone thats seen it in person has been pretty cool about it.

Closest race ever ever had, we came across the stripe at the same time, i was running him down but didnt think i caught him.

Limiter is at 7200
Converter has about 10 percent slip, it works great where its at now though so i dont think im going to have it tightened up

Figured id spend a little time and money fixing the interior up. Didnt want to add any weight but i was tired of it looking like a **** box.

Put new carpet in, painted the cage finally, put a center console back in, and bought some corbeau fx1 pros to replace the crap factory seats.

Overall it still lost weight with the seats being so much lighter, and its much nicer inside

Let me know how those seats feel during some road miles. I've been looking for something lighter, lower (I'm tall and need headroom) and comfortable for the Zephyr.

Took the car out for the first stock block shootout race this past Saturday and ended up going home early.
Changed a few things on the car and had to add a decent amount of weight so i wasnt sure how it would do.

First pass i left on no boost and ramped it up to 16-17 psi and ended up with a low 6 at 118ish. Down a couple mph than normal but i figured it was due to the boost not coming in until about a hundred feet out and the extra weight.

Next pass i tried to leave on 9psi at 3600 rpm. As soon as i let go of the trans brake it smoked the tires and smacked the limiter.
I pedaled the car and it bogged pretty bad as it hooked. Ran it out through second before i realized something was wrong.

Coasted across the line with the car off as my crank pulley passed me.

Better than a wheel and tire passing you! Now get it back together and go kick some *** with it!

Um, there is a reason the rules require an SFI rated balancer at this performance level.

Ive broken more billet harmonic balancers than stock ones. Its not some magic number they suddenly start breaking
It has an ati balancer on it now
Thanks though

Pretty simple setup
Flipped truck manifolds, mild steel hotside, single tial gate, pt76, ebay coldside with a tial bov.

The blue pushlock is ugly as sin but its a racecar...lol

Now you just need to add another turbo on the other side.

Local series i race in limits the turbo to a single 76, i should have plenty to go with this little guy still.

It is a little short...lol
Its loud as hell in the car no matter what rpm its at...

Im hosting a dyno day on saturday so hopefully im able to see a little more power than the last go round.
Ive changed to 160 lb injectors and had the car retuned on the street and at the track by a professional tuner.
Made a touch over 700 before, id like to see 800 tire where its at now

Been following your build and it's awesome! That would be cool if it did 800. My on3 78/75 seems to be maxed out at about 700. I gotta precision 76gts Layin at the shop but turbine wheel needs to be replaced. If you hit 800 it would give me more motivation to get it rebuilt and swap it ha

A local guy made just over 900 with one on a 5.3 last year.
I think they had the gate pinned shut but it did it...lol

That's crazy that they make that much more than the cheap turbos, and more crazy that 900 horsepower can flow through a .96 75mm wheel ha

Well i thought it would go farther than it did
On 19lbs it made 706
On 20lbs it made 716
On 22lbs it made 718

Looks like the turbo is about done for where its at.

Planning on swapping to a borg s476r and seeing if i can coax some more power out of the old 5.3

Seems about right for the small .96 ar and 75 mm wheel. But that bw will be a HUGE difference. I'd make sure to get the 92mm exhaust wheel.
