Default ARP Bolts and TCI Flexplate backing out

Seems as though it's popular for alot of you boost guys to run this combo but it's no secret that these bolts will backout over time. What are you guys doing to fix this? I've heard some guys run different bolts or sand off the paint on the flex plate. Gimme some ideas guys. I had a couple races lined up the other day at the track and after one pass they backed out on me and started clunking around bad.

Which ARP bolts are you using? Are you torquing them properly? If so, A little Loctite helps out as well.

Mine were blue loctited in and torqued to 40ish lb/ft (whatever factory spec is). They weren't going no where, show no signs of loosening when I just pulled the converter. Also specify whether you have 3 or 6 bolt flexplate (mine is 6).

I've used blue locktite and torqued down and there are 6bolts on my flexplate. I'll try red locktite.

I've always used red also on all my big block builds. Never had an issue.

Always use red, no matter what ARP tries to tell you. I also use red on converter bolts too, 2-step cars love backing them out!!!
