Finally going to go get it tomorrow.
What kind of speed is safe in these things? 20 years ago I would have found out the hard way....
What happens at say 70 mph and the engine quits?
Bringing this thing to my buddys place for storage until I finish up existing projects!
Demon, you on PSA I think? Got some work done on my 94 PSD CC lately!!!

Yeah, I'm on PSA. I'm a member of most diesel forums.

I am trying to get this bellhousing thing sorted out. Do I need a jet specific bellhousing.
If so, a motor plate in the front and the bell housing acts as the rear mount? Or do I need a mount in the back and the jet bellhousing acts to support the pump?
Do I even need a bellhousing? The starter obviously attaches to the block. Use the truck flexplate and an adapter for the drive shaft? I can the see the bellhousing helping to keep stuff from going through the boat if something were to fail, though.

depends how it is set up. some have a mount in the front and the rear is mounted to the pump. mine has a front mount and the bellhousing in the rear is another mount. basically a 4 point mount.

So if there were engine plates front and rear, a bellhousing would not be necessary? The transom itself is enough to support the pump? Also, where could an inexpensive heat exchanger be sourced for a closed cooling system??? THanks.
