Today i had an extra spare hour after work so i worked on the crossmember plate that will mount to the threaded rod end thats connect to my motor mount. These slide right in place in their stock location and mount the same way with a nut that holds the whole assembly in place on the back side of the factory clamshell. Used 1/4"plate but in reality could have gotten away with 3/16" or even 1/8". Not a super structural part.
All thats left to do is make tabs that attach the clamshell to my motor mounts and weld them in before i can drop the motor in for good and start hot side fabrication o2 dumps, IC routing and all that good stuff
PS: got some goodies in the mail today... Stay tuned...

Hope you guys don't mind these small updates. These small items take an insane amount of time to fabricate because all of it is trial and error. After the motor is in, the real fun stuff you guys like to look at will begin. Turbo placement, hot side fabrication, wastegate routing and all the cooling and ic stuff.

While working on the car tonight one of my buddies stopped by the shop and we were shooting the **** having a good time drinking a few cold ones and just looking at IT lol. He brought up something that caught my fancy he said it would be cool if I had a Youtube channel showing How-to fabrication videos/ update videos/ welding videos and stuff like that. I thought that was a pretty neat.
Just trying to see if people would be into watching and following something like that or if it would be a complete waste of my time. Let me know what you guys think below.

I'm pretty bad at this whole making videos thing but I gave it a good ol fashioned college try with this one. Doesn't go into too much detail.Aa few photos and a few minutes of me welding up some o2 dumps.
I will be making a lot more of these in the upcoming weeks. I'll be making complete DIY videos in welding and general fabrication, update videos on the car and stuff like that. The quality of the videos can only get better from here... But this one is pretty bad haha If anyone wants to check it out I'll provide the link below.

i had some old SE wheels on the car and the rear drivers side had a slow leak. After filling it up with air every month i got tired of it so i jacked the car up and pulled the wheel off. It was cracked...
Welded it up, bam good as new. I hate welding wheels but this one wasn't too dirty and actually welded up very clean. Anyways a few pics before and after.
OH and i got a new daily.....
Ran a cut off wheel in there to widen the crack a bit and also to clean it out
after welding took an air grinder with 40 grid role disc to it to shape it and smooth it.
08 WRX. Bought it cheap did a quick timing belt job and fresh plugs, changed tranny and diff fluid, fresh oil change and fresh coolant. Been running like a champ and when I don't drive like a moron i get 25mpg.

Been very busy at work and with finishing my basement but today had a chance to make a small fixture for rebuilding cylinder heads. This one is a basic holding fixture which i will be adding a jig for holding turbo flanges and manifold fabrication.
Quick little how to video and how to: on how i made this super easy super helpful fixture. Check it out. Thumbs up, subscriptions and comments are encouraged.

It's been very slow progress and prior commitments have taken up a lot of my free time but finally starting to work on the car. Got the motor sitting in the car. I've decided to weld up my own oil pan so if anyone has a dxf file of the oil pan flange would much appreciate it if you shared that with me. Also waiting on some tubing and v bands this week in the mail, once they get in I'm right to start turbo placement fabrication. I have 2 options that I like, one is down low where the fog lights are and one is up high in the bay just behind the headlights.
Let me hear what you guys think

More progress, headers on and fit nice. Only thing they were a little long with where I'm placing the turbos. Cut about 3 inches off the driver side and tacked it in place. Will work very well. The passenger side will be a lot harder because I have about 2 and a half inches less space than the driver side. More cutting and welding will be required to get the same placement as the driver side.
Also cut a whole bunch of pie cuts out of 304 stainless for upcoming exhaust job on my friends 2015 GTR black addition and my own car.
Turbo location on both sides.
Passenger side gives very little room.
Cut the old v band out along with about 3 inches and tacked new vband in place.
How much i cut off
