Default Nos to spool up?

Ive been fiddling with the idea of throwing a relatively small shot of nos 50 to 75 to spool up faster for a while now but just not sure..

-Any of you guys have experience with spray to reduce lag?
-Does it work well enough to justify doing it?
-How much faster does your turbo spool as apposed to no spray?
-How much can you spray before you blow the spark out?

I had a 75 shot with a 408 LS with a 88mm turbo.
It worked great while I had it. It would only come on for a second or so as the boost would come on pretty quick. I had a hobbs switch that shut it off at about 4-5 pounds of boost. From a roll it would work great. I never tried it at the track as I just would use the trans brake to launch it.
I originally put it on for roll racing but then thought it was kind of dumb to roll race the car so I only had it on the car for a few hits and then took it off to save the weight.

Street set up. Mostly highway pulls and rolls.

Did you notice a big difference in spoil time on nitrous? I'm not too worried about weight so I'm just trying to gauge if it would be beneficial for me to spray a small shot in the lower rpm ranges and taper it off soon as boost starts creeping up

If you're on the street, why can't you just downshift? Street racing from 2500 RPM is foolish, and launching on boost/nitrous on the street is even more foolish.

I won't be launching on the streets just highway pulls. The boost threshold on 80mm and up turbos on 5.3 is pretty high, I'd like the spool up a little faster with out having to shift and lose a little time. To counter act that I could probably get different gears in the rear maybe 3.27 or lower. I have 3.73s currently. But like I said nothing set in stone yet just trying to weigh out my options...

My old set up was a 5.3 with isky triple 12, fast 102 intake with a Borg Warner s480 running stock 80e with a hd2 trans go kit and 3.73's. I'm debating on wether to go with this same set up on my new motor (if I can get it to spool a little faster or if I should go small twins. Like 70mm or something along those lines. Before I was hitting full boost around 4400-4500.

It works great. Get a super tight converter and taller gears to take full advantage of it. Hit it with a 100 shot for 1-2 seconds, then shut it off. It's a night/day difference. Seems like you'd be out of gear fast with 3.73's roll racing? Are you going into OD? what does the converter stall to?

Went with 3.73 to try and get a little more rpm to spool up faster but lost a lot of power doing so. Gotta find a happy medium between enough rpm and still keep enough power in it. 3.3-3.5. Or i could just do a twin setup and spool up won't be a problem or add nitrous to the current one.. Many ways i could go about this. Stall was 3200.
