What is an A2A IC worth on a drag car?

Default What is an A2A IC worth on a drag car?

I would think after a heat soak from the burnout the temp drop during a pass would not be much.
Please tell me what temp drops you are seeing.

it is more drop than you think . I have never recorded pre ic temps but there is a definite temp drop.

after a track pass in my nova you cant hold on to the turbo compressor housing or pipe leading to the I/c but the outlet is nice and cool . I ran my car with no intercooler at first on 93 pumpgas and my current tune is 2* more timing and 3# boost higher than I could get away with without my intercooler.

it is not uncommon to see temp 20* over ambient air temp with a good a2a depending on the air flow thru it.

Pre-intercooler temp at the 1/8th mile is 300F. Post intercooler temp is 150F
