Default Turbo selection help. 4.8

I am currently starting a build of a 1987 Silverado. I will be using the tick performance stage 2 4.8/5.3 camshaft 219/223 , ls9 head gaskets, arp's, stock 4.8 bottom end with factory heads. I am having turbo selection issues. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks for your time and help.

Hard to go wrong with a bw s475. Should easily meet your goals and is pretty affordable.

I run a Tc78 with a 68mm turbine on my 4.8 and like it a lot. I had a gt45 on it when I first put it together and it had a little to much lag for me. The 4.8 dosent have much *** outa boost and that with lag make for a lazy street car imo. I think this turbo would work well with your set up and cam.

Borg warner SXE s369. Billet 69mm compressor, 73x80 turbine wheel and T4 1.00 AR housing. It will spool super fast and should make right around 800whp.

Thanks for all the replies. I am looking into all of these. I actually talked with Jose at forced inductions today. Just curious if Anyone ever run one of these? Thoughts?

Thought I saw a thread about the 80mm on here at some point. They seemed to be pretty bad as for the price but no first hand experience.

Found it:

This^ a little more expensive, but it'll be a beast in transient response

I have read and read until I was actually running circles. Lol. Lots to take in when you are new to turbos. I ordered a on3 7875 T4. Gonna give it a try as my first turbo build. Thank you for all the help. I will be posting a build thread the next few weeks.

My cuso just purchased that same turbo for his 5.3 build. It should work really well for your 4.8. Good choice.

Precision makes some really nice entry level stuff. The PT7475 would work good for this engine. It will make the power you want and you will have some room to grow. Give us me a call for the best price if you are interested.
