Default L98 6.0 turbo build s480

currently have freshened up L98 with new bearings new rings . turbo cam 238 238 570 570 115
rectangle port heads new valve springs
ls2 manifold
steam pipe 4 into1 headers and forced inductions s480 t6 1.10 rear
powerglide trans brake
engine in Toyota hilux single cab 4 by 2
weighs 2450 pounds with driver


what sort of boost and power considered safeish. thoughts please I was thinking 12-13 pounds 650-680 rwhp

Sounds like a good plan. Should be very safe if the tune is spot on. FYI an LS2 intake wont work on rectangle port heads.

Sorry have standard L98 intake for it
Thought Aussie L98 was a LS2

No problem. It's more like an L76 without AFM. Headstuds and LS9 head gaskets are good insurance too.

have headstuds and mls gaskets
is 12-13 pounds or around 660-680rwhp to conservative or about the money.
dragstrip and burnouts stuff like that was registered but got of of control.police didn't like it.


what power or boost are people running with above or similar combos

car last run with a turbo four cylinder manual and ran 10.7 @ 128

I think you're in the ballpark. My combo is similar but with an S475.

I have an L92 w/ an S480 1.10 rear also. I've been 148 in the 1/4 @ 3200 lbs or so. That was on 14-15#'s of boost, 12* of timing, and straight pump gas. Oh and through an unlocked 4L80.

So it looks like your power goals are on par.
