Default truck manifolds 'egr'

Are the truck manifolds with the plugged egr port more restricted then the non egr version, ? Or is it the way it looks as to why some say avoid it?

just another ugly piece hanging on a factory manifold. Its a port you have to plug.

No need to plug the one I have, it was never drilled open from the factory, I just didn't know if it protruded in the manifold causing a restrictions.

Actually I could use some more manifolds. So they are junk. Pm me for my shipping address and I will scrap them for you.

I think mostly people avoid them for 1. looks and 2. possible chassis fitup issues due to the extra width.

I have a set of the non drilled EGR manifolds on mine too. You can really do alot of cutting and grinding on that EGR flange to make it much smaller and not as much of an eye sore. Nothing protrudes into the internal passages on them.

I cut mine off and welded 1/8" plate in its place. No problems so far.
