Default rear/mid mount turbo questions

so i have a 240sx and not to much room in the engine bay so im thinking about doing a mid mount right under were the rear seats would be ( if they fit there)
motor is a 408 10.5:1
trickflow 220 heads
cam isnt picked out yet ( will come from ljms)
twin s366 .91 ar
e85
4l80e
main questions are piping size i will have a air to water right above them to cut down on some pipe so i figure 2.5 out of the turbos into the intercooler and 3-3.5 out of the intercooler into the throttle body

and for exhaust size i was thinking 2.25 and is it better to run like actual headers? or log manifolds? if i ran headers would probly be less then 5 feet from them to the turbos

also input on how well it would spool vs if i just put them up front
car is a daily driver/ street toy

any other info needed just ask

Always room somewhere.

But yes on 2.5" cold side piping, perhaps even smaller for twins.

And yes 2.25" would be fine for the hot side, log manifolds will work fine too. ie factory cast manifolds...no real reason to use anything expensive here if you can find a little room there.

Or you could build a low mounted twins close to the engine

In for progress pics. I too have a 240sx with a v8 (lq4) swapped in. I am putting a turbo on it also, just gotta get a few more parts. I'll be working on making everything fit at the back of my car this weekend. I don't have room under the hood because I plan on keeping power steering and a/c.
