Default Installed lsx motor with ls2 conversion, no start condition

Just finished installing my lsx motor in my 00 ta. I used an ls2 conversion kit for the knock sensors and the relocated cam sensor. Only other thing I changed was extended my map sensor wire which looks good. Car turns over, no start, appears to be no spark or fuel either. I have hp tuners but am not really familiar with it, can it help me diagnose the problem or does someone have any ideas what to look for?

Double check your cam sensor wiring, assuming that you had to make an extension for the wiring since it's now located in the front.

Some of the cam extension harnesses need two of the wires swapped, from memory I believe it's the outside wires? I had to do this on my car years ago, good luck.

Might want to verify that you are putting the correct voltage to your cam sensor as well (5v or 12v)

So even though I have the conversion harness it still could be pinned wrong? What the hell is the point of buying it then?

You use +12v's to the cam, crank sensors-the LS2 uses 05v's to the cam, crank and pin A & C are swapped for the cam as opposed to an LS1, pin c on the cam conn. should read voltage for the LS2
I suspect the ECU is looking for a 24 REL and you have a 58, maybe one of the guys who do HP can shed some light on that

I have a 24x reluctor wheel, so do I need 12 volts or 5 volts? I have an ls2 based motor but it's in a car that used a12 volt system to those sensors. I'm confused. Lol

The sensors will work with either 12v or 5v, but normally they receive a 12v feed.

The crank/cam sensors must have power in order for the engine to be able to start and run.

So that obviously means during key on and cranking.

Will the injectors fire if the coils don't?

I'm going to try and count teeth in the reluctor wheel to verify it's 24

Congrats! Just to add - the cam sensor is not needed to start the engine. The ECU will not know when to fire so the ECU will inject fuel/fire every cycle instead of when it should. Once it gets started, it goes by the crank sensor and discards the cam sensor.

When I did a double roller setup my cam sensor was too close to the gear so it would not work. To get the car to start, I had to let it try a few times then cut fuel with the gas pedal and it would eventually start. I have now added a spacer and the car starts with no issue!

Not sure if this is the case for older cars but I have an 05 E40 ECU so that was the case for me.
