Default D1 with aster kit? Or buy kit whole!

Ok so I'm looking to put a d1 on my 00' SS.

I am wondering if anyone has used the aster bracket to piece together their build mainly.

If someone could tell me exactly what is needed to have everything installed, running and driving.


I worry it'll be too much leg work, to where buying a complete kit is more cost effective/less hastle.

If someone could pm me their experience in building an aster kit that would be amazing. (Bc checking threads gets crazy)

good luck findind a used aster bracket . i looked for one then had to buy a new one .

Like others have said, the two most important pieces are the head unit itself and the bracket. Some have gotten by with the j-bracket, but if you can afford the aster bracket, that's the way to go. Going Procharged is still my dream that I'm slowly saving to make come true.
