My question is. Is this enough fuel pump for e85? if not... Should I replace the 044 for a 4303? or just run 1 more 044?. Both 4303 or 2nd 044 would be on a hobbs switch.

Thanks in advance.

Your post seems to suggest a pair of 6266's. On that alone there isnt a hope in hell of a single 044 supporting the power a pair of those can make, unless you're going to run baby boost.

Your 83lb injectors also wont go that far on E85 either.

But then you arent stating your goals or fuel demand needs.

Thanks Steve for the quick reply.
LOL, no baby boost.. at least I hope not.

Sorry I don't think I was clear enough. I was running 6# 83lb injectors on a 3.5l v6 and I was getting 730 on c16 with 2 greddy 18g's with the fuel set up as on the pic.

I have since switched the 3.5l v6 for a gen3 5.3 and twin 6266's.

looking for 20-25lb of boost(1000rwhhp) on e85.
All the size lines are in fuel pump pic. And I now have 160lb holley injectors

I already asked a fellow ls1tech member/turbo builder/all around guy that knows his ****.
and he suggested I run 1 pump for start up and a 4303 with a hobbs. I know he knows his stuff but I figured I would ask more people and see what they suggested.

And since I already have it set up this way. I was seeing if I could just get away with either running and extra 044 or ditching the 044 altogether and getting a 4303.

You need more flow...end of.

Both in terms of the lift pump and main pumps/injectors.

It's quite common to return from the rails into the swirl tank, this means the lift pumps have less work to do.

ie you have 500hp worth of lift pump and an engine or main pumps pulling 1000hp of fuel....that swirl tank will be emptying fast.

So factor in how much fuel is leaving the swirl...just as much as how much needs to be going into it.

Injectors, may as well do something in the 1300-1600cc range and I'd be surprised if a single 4303 would safely do 1000hp on E85, but I'm sure people who have actually used them could comment better.

I doubt a pair of 044's would either, and some say they may not be happy long term with E85.

I appreciate your comments Steve.

I changed some stuff around, I was able to get a 485 wally into my hanger. I haven't bought the Magnafuel 4303 yet but gonna pull the trigger on that in the next week or so. Plan is to run the 4303 on a 4psi hobbs switch. Will this get me closer to my goal of 1000whp?

A Shown an 044 + 4303 should easily do 1000hp for you.

I think I'd prefer a -8 line for the 485 into the surge tank, but it's maybe not essential

Also some do prefer to run the rails in parallel, rather than in series, but either will work fine.
