LT1 procharger F1-R wanting to up the power
My setup
- splayed 4 bolt mains9:2:1 static compression
-forged 383 bottom end
-Trick Flow heads 23*degree LE ported 215cc runners, 2.08 IN. 1.60 EX. Double springs (155lb seat) 62cc combustion chambers
-LT1 intake LE ported
-Cam 224 in. 236 ex. @.50 574 in. 572 ex. 114LSA
-24x connection
-Pacesetter longtubes
-F1R procharger @ 14.8psi. (93 octane pump gas)
-31x12x4 cxr racing intercooler
- -8AN fuel feed. -6AN return
-lonnies double fuel pumps ( hobs switch)
- Siemens 80lb injectors
- snow performance straight methanol dual noozle
-Aeromotive 1:1 boost fuel regulator 54psi baseline
Alright that setup makes 700rwhp @5800 rpm 652rwtq @5200
I'm wanting to get more out of it. What else can i do to give it maybe another 100rwhp? I do plan on possibly spraying 125 shot but not sure if i should. Can those heads be holding me back? I don't want to change cam. So what should be my next change? I plan on running 93 octane still. Thanks.

Here's the dyno graph. Sorry for poor quality. Overall decent power but, i would think it has more in it.

Seems like it is making great power as it is. Where are you in terms of blower speed at the shift?
Are you looking for that extra power all the time on 93 and the meth, or would you be willing to run c16 and meth when you have it on kill and on 93 and meth the rest of the time?
Also, when you dyno'd it, did it peak power and then it started dropping off at 5800, or you just stopped the pull around that number? With a blower like the f1r and depending on how it is currently pulley'd, it could be possible that more rpm will only show more power. In which case you could gear accordingly.
You mention pacesetters. How big is the primary and what is the rest of the exhaust system? Remember, you can never "over exhaust" a blown application.
You don't mention a cam change, but being this is an old 350, can I assume a 1.5 ratio rocker?
I'm going to guess at some of the answers above and tell you to go big on an exhaust system, make a pulley change, move to a 1.6 rocker and maybe add a third meth nozzle (with an extra pump if needed).

7.65 crank 4.50 blower= 57,834 @ around 6,300 rpm is what I ran with.
93 with meth. Don't want to use c16. Want to keep it as a street car.
Made the pull about 5,900rpm
I have 1-3/4 Pacesetter with 2.5" true duals straight pipe.
I have 1:6 comp cams ultra pro roller rockers.
I did order OBX 1-7/8 longtube. Going To fabricate 3" True Dual With X pipe and Corvette c6 Corsa sport mufflers. Want to bump compression to 9:5:1. I'm also swapping valve springs to some Manley Nextek #221435. Was thinking about trying out the 4.25 blower pulley which will put it at 61,246 @ 6,300 shift.

Ok I do have another issue though which I need some opinions on. The 80lb Siemens injectors I have were supposedly at 90% duty cycle set at a 54 baseline fuel pressure. That's just what the tuner had said to me. I never data logged it which is what I should have done but too late to do it now I suppose. I've seen others doing about 800rwhp with no problems. What could be the deal about it running out like that. That's really why the pulls didn't go up higher in rpm, so it may have squeezed a little more power. Thoughts on it?

You know once I had it dyno ed which has been about 3 three years ago I never checked on any of that. I had the car parked for really long time and only drive it every so often. At the moment I'll be pulling the motor as I'm actually swapping it to another car so it won't be until I get all that done so I can do some more testing on it all. At the time it was one of those things where I was tired of working on it.

You have another 200rwhp left with that blower. 4.25"/8" pullies will make 900. An F1R has a max speed of 68k, no reason to not use it all....(and then some..)

Man, I really want to order the new pulley. What should be my max psi? I'm thinking a 4.25 or 4.00 blower pulley. 6,300 rpm shift.

Well looks like #6 piston has some kind of damage to it on the corner there. It's hard to see, but could that be from detonation? Well I decided to change them out anyways so called Diamond today and got a quote from sales rep there at $1,200 for set of 8 Pistons with the rings. would that be a good choice or is there something cheaper price with same quality performance?
Also received the OBX headers too. I can see a good difference right away in size compared to the Pacesetter headers I ran. I bet it would have been about a 30 rwhp gain with just the header swap if I had to guess but can't confirm that. I look at the Pacesetter and I'm surprised it made that kind of power seeing how small they look next to the OBX.

For anyone who still rocks the LT1 and is curious to know where this build stands, well made a few more adjustments and getting the exhaust fabbed up today so I should be able to hear her sing with those Corsa mufflers tommorow. Anyone can run open headers but to get a toned exhaust is another. I'm pretty stoked. I also found out that the old valve springs and valve train components will be a great upgrade as I found that I was more than likely see valve float and instability. OBX headers fit in perfectly and are visually bigger than the Pacesetters, not to mention much better design. I also bumped compression to 9:8:1 as well. I wanted to go with 10:2:1, but I'm already married to my setup so it is what it is. Decided to run E-85 and got me bigger pump (465 lph) and making better pumps fittings better design as well. Got a 4.00 inch blower pulley, and ported the intercooler input and outlet ports. Bored the block .040 over with a set of custom blower Diamond pistons. And finally a set of F.I.C. 160lb injectors. Anyone want to guess on what it might put down this time around?

You were at 700 rwhp before. With the changes you've made I don't see why you won't see over 800 rwhp. You'll have to let us know what it does. Bob

Well been a good while but wanted to share some results and some random build pics.
Pistons deserved some extra pics though, really nice parts.
