ARP head bolts on Boosted motors??
I have a brand new set of ARP head bolts that I plan to use on my 6.0 rebuild. I have a 228R 112 CL cam from TX SPD and a fresh rebuilt set of 243's with spring kit and a trunion upgrade.
My question is if I later decide to boost the motor will the ARP head bolts hold up or is the high dollar head studs a must?
Thanks in adance and keep them hooking...

I had an iron 5.7 built for my street truck back in the day. I used ARP head bolts. Used Cometic gaskets and some stock 706 heads. Also had a decent A2A on it and an alky control meth kit. Procharged deal.
Funny thing is.....I got greedy at the track one day (truck was making 14 lbs of boost) and decided to keep adding timing till the truck quit picking up mph. On the last pass, I had 24* locked in it for the entire pass. Next morning found some water on the trailer under the truck and there was a clear trail of dried coolant going down the side of the block. It lifed the heads pretty bad.
3 months later (and still having never pulled the valve covers), I went back out to the track. This time the blower made 23 psi at shift point). Never pushed a single drop. Truck was about 750 rwhp at this boost level.
Moral of the story is the tune up is the first priority, then other things like bolts or studs, also, the bolts have been proven numerous times on boosted applications.
