Default APS TT GTO broken turbo cold air intake rubber tube

Hi, recently I've noticed one of the turbo rubber cold air intake tubes is broken,

does anyone have run the APS GTO's without them?

I have plans to take the complete aluminum tube out and put some screens or fabricate a larger diameter tubes since I have the LG upgrade and they have a larger intake.

what do you think? thanks.

This. On my APS setup I had for the Trans Am, we have issues with them sucking shut, so I used exhaust flexa-pipe. Problem solved. But that was just a cheap quick fix. You could easily fab up a tube and some silicone hose connectors.
