Default 76mm, Upgrading valve springs, stock 5.3 and stock cam. What size pushrods?

Just as the title states. Changing the springs so I can stop the valve float in the upper rpms. I have some hardened TSP pushrods 7.4 length, would that work? Stock cam.

If the cam and lifters are stock, 7.400" should be fine if the heads are stock and have not been milled.

I would get push rod length checker. they are cheap enough. your engine and the hassle isnt worth the $20 you save. They are also very easy to use. I measured mine and 7.4 worked but you never know.

btw I would HIGHLY recommend you swap your cams as well.
I was running all stock setup, then swap springs and cams and the car really woke up with the same tune. after the tune update its a different beast all together. I regret now having installed it from the start.

Stock cams are PERFECT... for grandma to drive to the grocery store.
.
Even a very mild grind will make a HUGE, outsized positive difference in your engines performance.
Texas Speed "Low Lift" 212/218 @ .050" will add 51 Horsepower to the STOCK 5.3, If you are under pressure, it will greatly enhance efficiency at ALL rpm above idle.

There is NO compelling case for NOT running at least 212 degrees intake duration.
