converter
Thks man, I have not figured the converter yet. I figured I would dyno it first to ascertain the exact spooling characteristics. That way I can give PTC better data with which to spec it.

High stall drivability
After reading on some forums about guys' experiences with their new high stall converters, I am sceptical about fitting one. I have one in a 70 Cuda with a 528 Hemi, that I hate. You have to rev the car hard just to accelerate a little while cruising. My truck is my dd and I would not want to ruin my enjoyment by having to lean on the throttle every single time I want to accelerate even a little. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I would match the stall to the cam and let the turbos do their own thing, personally. Both of the cams you mentioned, the LS9 cam and the BTR stg2, should not require ridiculously high stalls, so you should have pretty decent driveability with either. I have heard of people using ~2800rpm stalls in trucks with the BTR stg2 cam, so I do not think you will need an absurdly high stall at all. I would still talk to someone and have a decent one built to spec to handle the power you will be throwing at it with a twin turbo 402.

Ive been driving a bit and it feels strong from 3500. The tight converter gets in the way and Ive made up my mind to order a circleD triple billet 3500 stall converter. I am also getting a BTR twin turbo stg2 cam kit, with the springs. It turns out that what I thought was a BTR stg2 was just a LQ9 cam. As it was installed I didnt check. The ls9 cam has gone into a procharged lq4 so I thoght I'd make sure this time and get everything directly. It feels fast when the boost comes but at this stage I still miss the lsa charged 6.0 it had.
