pretty neat
Most of the big aftermarket injectors don't have these caps. Dekas 80s for example have no cap.

Got a photo of these junk injectors?
I'm about to try and tune a 6.0 with some no name fat body 80lb injectors and will be wasting my time if they are what's mentioned here.

By flow testing them.

Or you can take a rough guess and rescale your VE table based on where your AFR falls.

Do the flex fuel injectors flow any more than the stockers in Denmah's video decapped? I have a set I'm going to try.

A buddy of mine has decapped flex fuels in his twin turbo 4.8.
I don't have any solid data on them yet. With caps on, they do flow more than the stock truck injectors.

I cant find it now, but there was a youtube video of some decapped FF injectors side by side with some deka 80's flowing just about the same.

The problem with cheap mods is everyone wants a free lunch.

Decap them, send them out for service, adjust the appropriate tables with the new data, and carry on.

I bought a set of Deka 80s for my wagon (already have some 36s that I was planning on using) and for the $250ish I spent on them second hand I am sure it is cost comparative to doing this mod (logistics and what not).

But, if you are going to go sloppy, go real sloppy - decap them and guess at the IFR, adjust the tune a hair, crank up the boost, and profit.

Default E85 specs for injectors.

Idk where to find e85 grade gaskets and a full swap out set etc. Could I just transfer from old? I'd prefer new. 4.8 2008 silverado 3" dump cai and chipped, doing a full swap, cam headers and intake manifold springs hydr, also looking to bore mani.

They don't idle worse than any other aftermarket injector with no cap.

These are the 36# flex fuel injectors from my 2008 5.3. I'd sure like to see what they flow decapped. I'll do it eventually...

Thats interesting....I assumed an injector that was designed to NOT have a cap would not be the same as an injector that IS designed to have a cap and it was removed.

Great info I'd sure like to see flow VS pressure. I'll sell these deka 80's I bought and run the OEM injector instead.

so I'm recalling more of the conversation I had with eric when I had these flowed.
I guess one of mine was kinda hinky and flowed a little low. he also said they gave a quick pulse on the static test---but I don't think that would affect how they worked in an engine...since they are never static wide open.

here's the uncapped 12594512's

and here are the SD80's I got from Viren. I just wanted to check if they were legit or not. They are.

hey I noticed that the stock injectors were flowed at 43.5 psi. with that I'm assuming they are around 80# at stock pressure.
