Default Fastest supercharged LS car

Anyone know what the fastest superchargedLS car is?

tube chassis
stock suspension
radial

I am building a 4.5 whipple tube car and would like to know the benchmark.

Cheers

Why ask for the fastest, then start adding stipulations?

Not too many fast roots/screw LS engines our there. Lots of them in the low 8s (mostly COPOs) and a couple in the 7s.

Pick through ProStock John's list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...bhQWhs/pubhtml

I am interested in your project. I have been thinking about what is possible with the 4.5 Whipple in a world dominated by ProChargers.

Looks like this is the Fastest: 6.82@205 Eric Gustafson, 1989 Mustang, F1X-12, 460, 3225 r/w on 275s.

The Whipple really isn't large enough to compete with a big time ProChargers, but you might be able to make it competitive in the Real Street/Extreme Street/Ultra 275 classes that are limited to the F1C sized centrifugals.

I have ordered the 4.5 whipple. Will keep you posted on performance. It will first run on 403ci alloy block engine with about 13lb boost then we will step up to 420 or 440ci and stuff 28-30lb boost in it.

The car is a moly 89 Ford probe weighing in at 2200lbs with driver!

Fastest I have found for a whipple LS is 7.63 so hopefully we can give the record a nudge.

If anyone knows of faster whipple LS engines let me know!

I know Joe Dedona clicked off a 4.5x recently at LSFEST, but I'm not sure which Procharger he's running. I want to say F-1x

I see that others have been a little quicker than that as well.

Not a car, but my 2006 Silverad has gone 8.99 @ 154 mph @ 4110 lbs with a procharger.

far as I know, it is the quickest procharged powered 99+ full size truck in in the country.

My bad, I thought he clicked off one on Sunday at LSFest. I know on Saturday he had a low 4.6x, and I read that the weather was better on Sunday, but I guess he didn't get the 4.5x

We managed a best of 4.54 / 162.88 at a test session in Cecil this past November.

That was at 3400lbs on an IRS with a 12R. It was the last pass on that IRS setup. The car is currently at Midwest Chassis going to a solid axle setup and shedding about 450lbs (trying to at least).

We could have gone in the 40's but it would have required more upfront weight. The biggest problem is the lack of adjustment with the Corvette IRS setup. All we had was shock, spring and valve adjustment. The car will not separate like a solid axle car. It was fun chasing a personal IRS goal but that is over now and we need to go fast and have a workable/adjustable rear suspension.

We're going to a Noonan Billet LS block and a 121 with the new combo.

AFAIK Eric G is fastest ProCharged LS combo. I believe he was on a 121 at the time.
