Well I installed it tonight after work. I'd say you could probably get a 3 1/2" through there looking at the space on my 3" pipe. There is about 1/4" of clearance on each side.

I had to drop my front sway bar an inch, and have my non-turbo k-member modified (they sell turbo K-members that make it better) but I was able to fit a full 4" downpipe and 4" exhaust all the way back to my 3" muffler where it was reduced in my BW S484 turbo.
Made 870 RWHP with exhaust fully on. I dropped the exhaust off at the downpipe and picked up a few pounds of boost and it put down 1,008 RWHP. I am confident that if it was retricted further to 3" at any point in the downpipe, that a much greater reduction of power would have been seen.
What did you do for coil mounting/wires on this side?
