Default 6.0 street car, 4L80E, (responsive) 700hp, 3200lbs, single, intercooled, pump (91)

Starting new project and know I need around 80lb/min at 14ish psig. I can simply source a Borg S475 or On3 7875 but would like some feedback on:

1. The EFR91 looks like good fit on matchbot. See below image. Any feedback on my inputs and the EFR91 on 6.0?

2. My main goal is to have super fun to drive street car. To me this means a car with good transient response. Is there a turbo you have driven that has good response characteristics across 2000-6000rpm? Not interested in supercharged car but want similar "feel".

3. What other things can be done with a build (gates, gears, ect) so I get in the zip code with my main goal of a fun to drive setup.

Other data points:
Will be putting cam / springs together from vendor recommendation.
Not expecting to put on more than 5000 miles year.
Not needing room for more power on this build.
Not needing to "go cheap" on this build either for reference, will use reasonable quality components to build from.
already have the 6.0 and 4L80E

Going into this car.

Looks like the red points are where you estimate moving through the compressor map? If this is where you think you will be, then your not marching through the "better" range of the map.

Have you test fit the engine & transmission in the wagon yet?

Yes red points are operating points. Below is S475 matchbot with all else the same. What do you like / dislike when comparing to the Efr91

Nope. I'll get it to fit even if I need tunnel work.

I cut the tunnel out in mine, but moving the engine forward might have allowed it to fit without cutting.

I belted the tunnel on mine with a hammer to make my 80e fit. Didn't take much.

T4, 1.10 housing, 83mm turbine wheel, S475 cast compressor.

With the right cam it will make 700rwhp and spool very quickly.

My suggestion anyways!

Thanks Martin. Will look you up for a valve train.

Any experience with the EFR? Seems like it's not used on many ls projects. Must be a reason even though it looks like ok application on matchbot.

Unfortunately no, no experience with the EFR.

What's the compressor inducer/exducer and turbine exducer/inducer?

IMO, it's a bit on the small side. Could it possibly make 700? Yes, but it's going to be working rather hard to do so whereas the S475, T4, 83mm turbine 1.10 unit wouldn't be working as hard. Less back pressure, lower IAT temps and the room to make a bit more power if wanted.

Tear down started. Being from MN glad to get a souther car with no rust. The interior is shot but planning a redo anyways. A mouse ate a lot of the stock wiring

Engine / Trans out. Time for a scrub.

Rats nest of wires.

You'll be able to get that to fit with no issues. Over on the Turbobricks site there are members who make bolt in motor mounts if you were needing any for the 240

The EFR turbos are incredible pieces of technology. However, that turbo I think is more suited for a V6 car. I've seen them used in Buick V6s. Two of these would be pretty cool to see on an engine like this.. Maybe a couple 7064s or 7670s
